Cons

Alexa may take some time relearning how to give you the information you want because clearing the history is like wiping the memory of everything Alexa has learned up to this point.

Your Recordings Are Still Being Stored on Amazon's Servers

When you delete your history using the methods above your recordings are deleted locally, but they are still being stored and potentially listened to by Amazon employees. This is because by default Alexa devices are set up to allow your voice recordings to be sent to Amazon's servers where a group of select Amazon employees listen to your recordings and transcribe them to help Alexa better understand human speech.

Why Does Alexa Save My Voice Recordings

Alexa uses your voice recordings and feedback to help it learn how to better serve it's user. So by deleting your recording history Alexa will have to relearn everything it's learned up to that point.

This means that you might get different responses or results from Alexa before you delete your history and after you delete it. So essentially Alexa saves your voice recordings to make your experience with it better and to give you what you want.
